Back in 2019, it was not uncommon to experience days of the heaviest downpours. These were the type of rainfall scenarios that weather forecasters now refer to as a ‘weather event.’ You know the type of day, three months of rain drops in one afternoon and what happens is that the local area is subject to a flash flood. These incidents, in which roads and properties go under water, are becoming more frequent.
I made a short video about being out in my Bongo, on such a day. From the calm of a simple drive along a Suffolk lane, to driving through water and wondering whether the engine would flood.
